Michigan Performance Excellence is pleased to partner with the National Council for Performance Excellence to offer Michigan organizations another self-assessment option - a behaviorally anchored survey-based assessment.
There are two versions of this tool,
Performance Excellence Express and Explorer. These instruments, administered either on-line or on paper or a combination of both, include questions that are answered by your employees and other stakeholders (or a sample of them). Both surveys include comments and suggestions for improvement from respondents.
The surveys combine the benefits of survey speed with the accuracy and completeness of a well-developed written narrative self-assessment. By obtaining input from a cross section of functions, locations, and grade levels throughout the organization, a performance profile can be developed that identifies strengths and opportunities for improvement as well as deployment gaps.
Organizations use these self-assessment surveys as a starting point in their performance excellence journey, to help prioritize improvements, to monitor progress over time, and to keep improvement momentum alive between award cycles.
Both surveys offer a wealth of information. Baldrige Express consists of
approximately 60 questions and opportunities for respondent input. The Baldrige Explorer survey includes additional questions and opportunities for input. Both surveys are very easy for you to administer. For the electronic survey, you inform your organization about the survey and provide the email addresses; we do the rest.
