2009 recipient of the Michigan Quality Leadership Award Announced!

Sparrow Regional Medical Supply has been selected as a 2009 recipient of the Michigan Quality Leadership Award by the Panel of Judges in their recent meeting. Click here for more information on SRMS.

The Michigan Quality Leadership Award is the highest recognition of performance excellence in Michigan.

A recognition event for all 2009 participants will be held in early 2010.

The first Performance Excellence Roundtable was held June 11 at the Detroit Athletic Club. Sponsored by the Detroit Athletic Club, 2008 Michigan Quality Leadership Award recipient, the luncheon allowed leaders from recipient organizations and organizations involved in the MQC to discuss challenges and best practices and to exchange ideas. A follow-up roundtable is being planned for the end of the year.

Examiner Applications for the 2010 Board of Examiners will be available September 30.

November 25, 2008

Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez joined President George W. Bush in announcing the 2008 recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s highest Presidential honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence.

The 2008 Baldrige Award recipients include:

Cargill Corn Milling North America, Wayzata, Minn. (manufacturing)
Poudre Valley Health System, Fort Collins, Colo. (health care)
Iredell-Statesville Schools, Statesville, N.C. (education)

Michigan Performance Excellence uses the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Applications to Michigan Performance Excellence may be written to the current year Baldrige Criteria (preferred) or to the immediate past year.
